Cotton Bayou Cottages
Our property offers two houses on one lot with a shared dock. The cottages, affectionately named Dunrobin and Heron's Nest, may be booked individually, or together when you need to accommodate more guests. This spot has been part of our family for over 45 years, and we hope that you enjoy it just as much as we do!
Located on Cotton Bayou in Orange Beach, Alabama, we offer a peaceful waterfront on a no-wake-zone body of water. Some of our frequent guests include dolphins, osprey and blue heron. The pier has room for three boats to be docked, with a boat launch at the head of the bayou and a marina right next door for loading up on fuel and bait. Just a few minutes by boat from Perdido Pass at Alabama Point, you can be out in the Gulf in no time to enjoy some of the best fishing around. There are also plenty of restaurants that can be reached by water, or you can just pull your boat up to Robinson Island in the Pass to enjoy hanging out with plenty of other beach goers and boaters.
There are many restaurants close by - even two within a short walking distance from the house. Zeke's Marina, right next door, hosts Wolf Bay Lodge restaurant, a favorite for great seafood. You can also book fishing trips and dolphin tours. And there are plenty of fun recreational activities within a few minutes' drive, including deck boat and kayak rentals, as well as parasailing and paddle boarding. When you aren't fishing or boating from the pier, you can grab your sunscreen and lounge on the Gulf beach across the road (the Cotton Bayou Public Beach access point is less than a mile west). Gorgeous white sandy beaches provide miles of waterfront fun. And you'll also be only six miles from The Wharf, where you'll find the AMC Classic Wharf 15 movie theater, plenty of great places to eat, an assortment of nightlife, and one of the tallest Ferris wheels on the Gulf Coast. Orange Beach has many great local shops within a short drive as well. You also can't forget to stop by Souvenir City and check out all of the neat gifts to take back home.

Heron's Nest
This original beach cottage is located across the street from the Gulf beach with beautiful, direct views of Cotton Bayou! This dog-friendly home sits directly on Cotton Bayou with access to a shared pier, so make sure to bring your fishing pole. The sandy water's edge makes a great place to entertain small children, while older ones can enjoy jumping off of the dock and splashing around the swimming area. Gather with your group in the inviting living room area and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon whether watching your favorite movies or TV shows or playing one of the many board games available. The spacious kitchen is conveniently and well equipped with modern appliances to make cooking a breeze. Your deck is the perfect place to lounge as you take in the breathtakingly beautiful views of the pier and watch the coming and going of pleasure boats and fishing vessels.
